We had one of these threads a while ago but I can't seem to find it, so here's another. Any predictions for the opening set of Premier League matches this weekend?

Liverpool vs. Stoke
Arsenal vs. Aston Villa
Norwich vs. Everton
Sunderland vs. Fulham
West Brom vs. Southampton
West Ham vs. Cardiff
Swansea vs. Man Utd
Crystal Palace vs. Tottenham
Chelsea vs. Hull
Man City vs. Newcastle

I'm interested to see how Everton get on with Martinez. I don't really rate him too highly as a manager but he's got a good squad of players at Everton this season, and plenty of attacking quality, so it'll be interesting to see what he does. I fancy them to get off to a pretty good start although Norwich away won't be easy. I'm looking forward to seeing Chelsea against Hull, largely because of Mourinho, and obviously Moyes' first Premier League game will be interesting too. It should be a tough one though, as Swansea seem to have done well in the transfer window so far.

Thoughts and predictions?

I wonder, is it possible that you are as a big a cunt in real life as you are on this site? :think
Id imagine he's one of those smart asses in real life who thinks he's really funny all the time but people just thinks he's a bit of a twat.

Maybe im wrong?

Not everything has to be answered with a smart remark.

That Liverpool game was pretty good. I wasn't too impressed with Stoke, who look torn between two styles, but Liverpool were impressive. They'll push for a top 4 position this year, I think.

Good start to the season for Arsenal. They've looked excellent in this first five minutes. Good goal too.

Shall I just merge this, the other one and the transfers thread? Just have one big main football thread, saves having to keep track of which thread has which discussion.

What do you think of Oxlade-Chamberlain starting? Do you think it will it be his break out season?
I honestly think Wenger was saving the ox from burnout last season . He's a talented player, no doubt about it.

If given a run of games, I'm sure he'll show what he can do.

He's looked pretty sharp from what I've seen so far. I'm trying to watch two games at once though, so how do you think he's getting on? I agree with you, a long run in the team will certainly help him.

Well I would say he is better than Walcott was at that age.
