Boxing is a dangerous sport that thinks nothing of eating its own and one of the most despicable acts in boxing is trying to coerce someone who has retired back into the ring.

A year ago, both Green and Mundine said they would retire after their rematch. They said it a number of times.

Danny Green will be 45 next month and has made it abundantly clear he has retired, and to his credit he has left the sport wealthy and on his own terms.

Anthony Mundine turns 43 in May and should have made that same decision by now. But if he can’t, and that seems to be the case, he should stop trying to coerce the 45 year old Green out of retirement. Even if it is only on a crappy reality TV show.

Mundine seems hell-bent on leaving boxing on boxing’s terms, the ugly way. Thankfully, while Mundine is likely being further damaged into the future, Green will be at home enjoying his family and future, health intact.

You can't be serious surely? o.O

Green chase Mundine for 6 years, while making his fan base off taunting him. He got whipped and embarrassed. He then chased him for another 10 years for another whipping, and he got it. He got bashed by a much smaller fighter.

Although it won't happen because of Green's fear of being embarrassed a third time. Boxing at their level is a business remember, and no matter what people say, Green would've been fighting in RSL's if it weren't for Mundine. It's only fair that they have a third fight.

There isn't a single knowledgeable boxing fan that thinks Green won that fight, not even most of his own fans. Any rational person, in Mundine's shoes would be filthy with Green too.

Though Paul Briggs has nothing whatsoever to do with the TV show it is a fair call and emphasizes exactly what I was talking about above regarding retired fighters.

As for the response I received above. Still shaking my head with disbelief :D

I'm just saying you can't blame Mundine for trying Green has retired several times before and come back and he can't make serious money without him.

There was a certain inevitability this thread would turn into yet another kindergarten level Mundine-Green shit fight. They invariably do.

Anthony Mundine is about to quit the show early anyway.

http://www.news.com.au/entertainmen...e/news-story/9868badfdd5b5d02579b0cc4492ee5e4

ANTHONY Mundine has said he quit I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! less than two weeks in because he misses his family, but host Chris Brown claims the boxer had a row with his rival Danny Green.

Mundine, 42, walked from the show within hours of completing the famed Viper Room challenge alongside his fighting foe, where the pair were buried with snakes.

“He was down there (buried) with his old adversary Danny Green and we thought it might bring the two of them together, but in fact it appears to have torn them apart,” Brown told Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa this morning.

“We thought he had taken the challenge in his stride but they’ve gone back to camp, he’s had a disagreement with Danny Green and walked out of camp.

“In typical Mundine style he has stormed out.”

The episode will air tonight.

So kindergarten dismissed. This shit fight thread is officially closed.
