A bit surprised. Not sure what Cotto does at this point if he's asking so much that not even Jay Z will pay him. I'm a bit happy, though. Cotto/Kamegai was kind of pointless. Cotto should fight Bradley and just retire imo.

I just noticed the sauce doesn't talk about the money. It's in Dan Rafael's article.

I'm guessing Cotto will weigh offers for a match against the winner of Canelo vs Golovkin at a CW or negotiate with Arum for a rematch with Manny or a fight with Bradley.

Cottos heart isn't in the sport any more, wants ridiculous money for a tune-up fight. HBO and Roc Nation aren't putting up the cash he wants. Who knows what his next move is...

Cotto needs to go back down to 147, imagine Cotto vs Porter

I don't think he wants to drain ever again, not that he has to drain much to make 147 lbs. Guy doesn't belong at 154 lbs., but I'm assuming he's going to be fighting there.

Yes, that'd be a barnburner for sure. Cotto/Thurman would also be a great one. They're the exact same size too.

I wish he would retire. He's had the such a great run, faced all the greatest challenges of his era, and made plenty of money.

I was hoping he'd go out on a win in MSG, but at this point even I'm kind of over the drama.

Honestly, I reckon thats a giod shout. Khan will go to 154 and itll probably get enough interest that its a viable selling fight.

Khan doesnt mind taking a KO as long as he gets paid and its not Brook and Cotto seems to avoid all risks unless the payday is massive in his latter years.

This is why Khan gets fights all the time. There's a good chance Cotto checks that chin and it will be hilarious.

    I honestly wouldn't mind it.

Cotto is one of the worst possible match ups for Khan...it'll be a bloodbath. Make it happen!

This is how you can tell his heart isn't in it anymore- he put a good fight to Canelo to convince me he still has years left in the sport. The class and ability is still there. Take your pick Cotto, tonnes of of fights there to be made. Why not sign up with a real promoter and make another go at a title? Big money to be made there as well, enhance your legacy with a new generation of welterweights - Cotto can sell out Madison Square Garden wiping his ass.

Nope, Cotto is content, just wants the easy way to retirement. Easy money.

Outside the ring, pure diva status. He's the Zsa Zsa Gabor of boxing. Inside the ring he's exact opposite and will die in there if necessary. Cotto is an interesting character man.

Ever since the first Margerito fight, the real Cotto started coming out. Little bit by little bit
