I don't disagree that Ferguson is no doubt a tough fight for anyone, including Conor. A couple counter-points, though:
He has shown very good recuperative powers, but he does get hurt. He's been hurt by guys like Michael Johnson and Lando Vanatta, who are good strikers and pack a punch sure. But Conor is easily more precise and powerful than those two. Tony is obviously a durable guy, but he's not in Nate's level. Apart from Conor (who is one of the most powerful strikers out there) and that full force clean head-kick by Thomson, we haven't really seen Diaz hurt from strikes in other fights.
Also, because he isn't afraid of getting hit and because of his super aggressive style, his chin is there to be hit more often than not. Not only that, but he rarely initiates takedowns, so any advantage he has in bjj/submissions will be self-neutralized, he will probably play right into Conor's strong point: A stand up battle.
Khabib could very well get stopped by Conor, but so can Tony. And imo Tony is a bigger risk to get KTFO by Conor, because unlike Khabib (who will try to avoid any striking exchanges) he will stand and strike with Conor.
Luke Thomas on Khabib-Tony: (26mins in)
"Khabib fights are never too difficult to figure out, right? If he can't win on the floor, he probably just can't win."
I don't care enough about the dude to specifically listen to his opinion sorry.
That's a shame, being that the forum is set up for your exclusive use. I'll be sure to PM you before I post anything in the future, just to clear it.
"Peter likes this."
Pretty knowledgeable dude though, worth listening to. Plus I like his style.
Haha I know mate I was just trolling Haggis. He's a good journalist for sure
Oh Yea he's definitely one of the better ones, actually knows wtf he's talking about most of the time, and like I said I also like his confrontational style.
Luke Thomas is good people. Talks just like everyone who raised me. Blunt as fuck, and if you say something dumb, he says "Yeah, that's dumb, here is why" and isn't worried about your feelings at all.
If he hurt my feelings I would take his black belt off him and strangle him with it
Khalabib, love uncle Joey
Polls aren't looking too good for Khalabib guess people don't think too much of an MMA fighter who's striking looks a cross between someone having a wank and an epileptic seizure at the same time
