Erislandy Lara wants Andrade, unification or GGG next

#41
What because a Tweet said so? Tweets aren't contracts. I guess GGG is ducking Gary O'Sullivan too.

I see a fighter who has a large promotional backing with a huge stable of fighters, and he's fighting Yuri Foreman. I'm sure people will take him seriously as a fighter for sure if he fights Carson Jones next as well.

Lara also could've moved up long after he took his loss to Canelo and possibly rematched Angulo at 160 lbs. and then fought Korobov, Monroe Jr., N'Dam, Lemieux, or even Stevens instead of wasting everyone's time talking garbage on Twitter. Then fighting the likes of Delvin Rodriguez and Yuri Foreman.
A big stable full of guys he's already beaten or who are already tied up with other fights

Yeah I won't waste time explaining why the Foreman fight was made either :good.

and I have no problem with GGG fighting Lemiuex, Canelo Jacobs, Saunders, etc. In between those fights, GGG is fighting Monore, Brook, and the guy on house arrest however. GGG's team literally said they picked Monroe because they wanted to face a slick southpaw. Lara was signed to fight nobody at that time and was willing to fight at 160.

Credit to Canelo btw for demanding to fight a stylistic nightmare
We had this talk already. Do you think a Lara fight, back then, would be as easy to sign as a Monroe?

For one Lara wouldn't take the same money Monroe took, he'd be going up in weight and he's a Haymon fighter going up to HBO.

No one will go out of there way to make the Lara fight just because GGG needs to stay busy.

where did I say GGG was ducking Lara?

I see a fighter who is having a hard time getting good fights. A good fighter begs to fight him and he turns it down. Why wouldn't I raise an eye to that? It's not like Lara is turning down fights against anybody. If Keith Thurman called out Lara, Lara would sign to fight him the next day.
How can you compare Keith Thurman to Lara?

Also Lara isn't in a position to turn anyone down. You do realize he's fighting a Rabbi next right?

Martirosyan, Smith, and Trout are everyone on Gaymon's stable now? Also, maybe you should take it up with Gaymon now that Lara hasn't had a reasonable fight in a long time now. Derevyanchenko, Khytrov, Charlos, Hurd, Quillin, Jacobs, and Williams are all in his stable. They're easy fights to make. As you say, just pay the fighters what they are asking for and we can see these fights easily.

Lara has one of the best resumes at 154. Anyone who can't see that is a hater, retarded or DKSAB. People love to ride GGG's dick but dismiss Lara in that fight when GGG hasn't fought someone of Lara's caliber. And no Danny Jacabos won't put him there either.

Well, can't blame GGG that the other guy who has a better resume at 154 and has a win over Lara isn't to keen on fighting him.

On another note, Lara not even fighting any middleweight at all isn't going to make him any significant at 160. A Jacobs fight is much better for GGG's record than a guy who's biggest fight was a disappointing hit and run disaster.

Lara vs GGG doesn't make any sense and I'm sure Lara knows that.

Lara vs Andrade however is such an obvious fight it's shameful it can't get made. Both guys are big talents but going nowhere fast. Andrade complains he's avoided but he has no credibility if he won't take it.

Why can't he want both? He calls these guys out and whoever responds gets the response. Austin Trout started off like that
We all know by now that call outs don't really mean much. And Trout? Where is he now? Near the back of the line. Fights arfe made by making contact w/ the other side. Not by WWE call outs or tweets.

Depends on who you want to listen to, manager or fighter.. Seems to change on this site depending on the stance one wants to take. GGG's team cannot speak for him (154-168 blah blah)... So Lara's shouldn't be able to either, right?
Div, there are no rules to something like this, and it doesn't change. Well, i guess it does if you enter with that crappy type of mentality. But when it comes to who speaks for who, it always depends on what's being discussed, and who says it (Of course).

If a manager says his guy wants to break a record, then you can bet that's likely said in agreement with the fighter. If a trainer says his guy can beat up everyone in the world, that's just an opinion.

It's not rocket science.

This statement sort of makes it sound like they are going to do nothing but WAIT for offers to come flying in. Not the best strategy IMO.

"Lara's the type of fighter that doesn't need to fight 3 fights to move up in weight," explained DeCubas, Jr. "When the gates open for 160 he'll move up whether its Golovkin or rematch with Canelo, Danny Jacobs, or Billy Saunders. There's a lot of big fights there but for now he's going to keep defending his title because he wants to break the record for the most title defenses."

Laras been angling for big fights in a while but instead of actually chasing one hes sat in the middle and made himself easy to ignore. If he wants GGG he could force the fight by moving up and getting himself a mandatory position, which wouldnr be very hard at the weight currently (may be in the next couple of years though).

Hia other option is to chase 154 unifications but he wont fight Charlos so that leaves Alvarez who probably wont fight at the weight again.

He could have chased the beltholders before Charlos got to them, hes a big stuck now though. No big fights he can chase at 154 so he should just move up and try and force a mandatory at 160.
