Price should beat Hammer fairly comfortably as Hamner really struggled against the 6ft7 plus Wach and Tyson Fury.

    Good matchmaking by Sauerland/Coldwell

    Good fight for Price.

Hammer recently beat Teper and was a decent amateur. But Fury dropped and retired Hammer without even taking a punch in 2nd gear.

Will be interesting to see if David tries to blast him out early or boxes him.

A win should see Price in with a shot of facing a belt holder ... but equally the same applies to Hammer so he will be coming to win.

Big Price just needs to go in full of confidence, easier said than done.

It's actually made me likely to buy the Eubank PPV now. Hopefully they add some other good match ups and follow the Hearn/AJ business model of a gash one sided headline event featuring a star but backed up with a stacked undercard,

    I fancy Hammer,

Yes Hammer struggled with Fury, but Tyson is levels and levels above no chin Price.

I sincerely hope this fight comes off,and that Dave wins. I think he will, probably on points. This is a fair move by Dave Caldwell,as I see Hammer as the toughest and best win Dave can get to virtually ensure him of an AJ fight if AJ beats Wlad. In the unlikely event Bellew beats Haye,I think Hearn would take David before Tony. Also if Fury comes back,I see him as having a warm up first, and David would be a good opponent for him for his 2nd and last fight of this year. But maybe thats too much to ask for.
I see Dave boxing carefully against Hammer, but he has it ion him to win by stoppage. If he DID manage to do it,it would set him up for a fight with any of the champions. Whatever he is one win from a title shot. Well done Dave Caldwell, the toughest and most beatable opponent you could pick. A title shot or retirement for a good fighter and great guy.

I know you're a fan of and know the big guys Maxsplit, but can I answer you line by line? To do a Rob Im gonna make a list
    1. Agreed. The best one possible.
    2. But this was after Teper got found out. He beat Dave before. Im only just starting to understand how much these PEDs enhance a fighters performance. Dave has had a rough deal and his confidence has suffered because of 3 stoppage losses to such boxers. I agree Fury hammered Hammer, but this is or was a special heavyweight. One who most people on here were saying was afraid of Dave Price. Not me,and I said so at the time.
    3. I think its virtually a given that hell try,and will succeed in using his reach and boxing him. May flag a bit in the later rounds but he has the power to stop him. I really think Dave can win this, probably on points after a few shaky moments later on. He is a better boxer than Wach.
    4. This win would put him in with a great shout of getting a title shot. More so if he stops him,but hell be seen as a fairly easy voluntary for any of the champions. Rightly so as I think they all beat him. Hope I'm wrong with the exception of AJ.

They were saying the opposite not that many years ago. Both the "boxing people" and the hardcore experts on the forum. Cant say myself and a few others didn't warn them.

BTW this fight is free on ITV4 I believe. Good to see him in a proper fight although I feel it's perfect matchmaking for him especially with Hammer beating Teper last time.

Expect him to win but it's not enough to earn an AJ fight, it might get him a shot at Parker - isn't Hammer high in the WBO.

That's good news, I want to see this fight and probably would pay the PPV if I had to.

I'd expect Price to win this one. Hammer beat Teper fair and square but it wasn't by much and Teper was shockingly bad that night (same against Rossy too). I'd say this would be Price's best win should he get it and it's a smart move as Hammer is ranked by both WBO & IBF. If Price can't get by Hammer I'm not sure where he goes really.

After Hammer beat Teper I said this was the perfect fight for Price, beat the guy who beat the guy that beat him, but we all know the roided Teper would destroy Hammer

    Yeah!!!!!

    Price in a fight.

Hammer was made to look awful by a very good tyson fury but he is a decent euro level heavy, albeit small and not busy enough in the ring for my liking.

Sorry to disappoint but Granat v Dinu looks like it is off now. Granat's possibly going to face an American opponent instead, I don't know who though yet.

I do like Hammer vs Price, Breazeale vs Szpila plus Kauffman vs Mansour on the Wilder undercard has a fair bit of needle and obviously Wlad vs AJ so far this year.

So the Eubank Jr fight is solely on PPV?
