I was thinking about this a while back and Maxsplit mentioned tonight a pal of his sponsored Dave Allen.

Has anyone else or does anyone else sponsor a fighter?. Or would they be interested in sponsoring one.

If you do sponsor a fighter has it been worthwhile?. Enjoyable or stressful?.

Some people like to bet on things to make it more interesting but sponsoring a fighter must be great if the fighter does well.

Imagine CHB sponsoring a fighter. Then again people moan about paying for BN or SBO let alone a fighter who may only fight a few times per year .

In all seriousness though it would be great if CHB (as a collective) did sponsor a fighter. Following that fighters journey etc.

Personally i don't have the income to solely help a fighter but between a group of people it would be better.

Good stuff lads.

It would be good if we agreed on someone. Someone who posts on here makes things easier.

AM or Pro. Seems like the White Rhino is the main contender.

I take it if CHB sponsored a fighter we'd want logo on their kit, shoutouts on IFL .

My work sponsors a local fighter. It's basically just advertising, he says what we can get for what ever amount we want to spend, it's usually a logo on the t-shirt or shorts, and a few posts on the fighters Facebook page promoting the business. We'll put up a poster advertising the fight, and this time I've offered to try and punt a few tickets to our customers. It's stress free and very straight forward, he just uses the money to pay bills so he can take time off work to train full time, maybe buy any equipment he needs. His career has been pretty interesting to follow, and I've liked going to the small shows to watch his fights, always end up shouting my head off during his fights.

Give us a name then?

More advertising for him after all.

And yeah it's to enable them to train full time if possible as most pros still work.

Speaking of stuff like this, I've always thought it would be loads of fun to get everyone on CHB to club together and set up an amateur show, CHB promotions  could match up lads on here as well to add to the spice

I don't post here very often, but I do read these forums daily. If you ever do get something together, i'm a graphic designer by trade. I'd be happy to do any of that stuff that needs doing for promotion or whatever. That being said, going by that old fight posters thread, (was it on here or ESB? I'm not sure) you're not going to be short of graphic designers. I'm just going to need a camera, an old roman helmet and a couple of massive hammers and we'll be golden.

Could do a show in Birmingham then :think how much does a social club cost to hire out for boxing?

Nah it depends what they need. If 50 of us chuck in 20 quid that pays for a fighters medicals near enough and that's not a massive stretch.
